Netherlands 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 Sport Auto Barolo Black

The only partnumber I can find if is HGB500070. It seems to be the same part for LH and RH seats.

Read this thread last night. Inspired me to change my cover as there are 2 splits in the side where Land Rover used vinyl and not leather. I had a good used spare cover generously donated to me by a worker at one of the big Land Rover independant parts sellers near me for the last 2 years but couldn't be bothered to sort it before.
I have an early vehicle on a 56 plate and although it's an HSE there are only 2 front bolts to contend with. There was no other trim/finishing plates on mine to remove and no holes suggesting trim had been removed before and not replaced.
Easy job. Took a little longer than I wanted to spend on it, but that's because I never got my cable ties ready before starting the job and had to hunt them down !

I was going to get one based on the £115 price but couldn't find the HGB500070 part on their website so sent them an email asking for price & delivery and this is the reply I received: -

Good Afternoon

Thank you for your email, this is a special order part only from Land Rover which would take 3-4 days to order in and is priced in GB pounds as below.

HGB500070 1 OE PAD - SEAT CUSHION £148.80

Please see Google images to confirm if this is the part you are after

Kind Regards

Paul

On the parallel thread "Seat foam upgrade" you will see I replaced my seat base foam only a few days ago. The price from (Forum Sponsor) Duckworths was £142.85 delivered. Still a horrendous price, but not a special order at all, just a regular part delivered next day & saving a small amount on the Rimmer pricing.

Freelander 2 Driver's seat pad

I changed my driver's seat (right hand drive car) foam pad because the right side bolster had collapsed after approx 170,000kms. I traced a back ache problem to the worn seat pad.

I bought a pad on the web. It was not quite the same shape as the original (XS 2011 with Alcantara/leather seats). A reshaped the replacement a little with a bread knife and it fitted ok. I used cable ties rather than metal rings.

Photo shows original on the left.
