Circular LED DRL Cluster Cutting Out

Hi there, I have recently noticed that the drivers side circular LED DRL cluster on MY13 Freelander (non signature strip) will be off during my journey. Pretty sure it is on when I start the car. Oddly though if I turn off the car and lock it, then unlock it the originally dead LED cluster will turn on as normal.
I was wondering if anybody has any thoughts or suggestions as to why this might be happening please. Will be the second time now today.
Not sure if it is of any relevance but the only thing that has recently changed on the car relating to the headlamp unit is that I've fitted those LED HB3 bulbs that were discussed on this thread https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic34723.html.

Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions. Thumbs Up

Someone else posted recently that their circular DRL's went out on one side when they fitted the LED HB3 bulbs. The post was slightly garbled but it sounds like the same issue you are seeing here. As the last post in that thread suggested, the LED replacement bulbs could be causing a canbus error. They probably use a high frequency switching driver to control the LED emitters and this may be generating a lot of RF interference.

Thanks Congoblue for your reply. Certainly sounds feasible that the new LED HB3 bulbs are interfering as the time frame of this issue matches up closely to the installation of those bulbs.
I've got a set of HID conversion bulbs coming, as the output distance of the LED's just isn't up to par compared to halogens. Be interesting to see if this resolves the problem. Will post my findings. Freelander 2 XS 2013

I am waiting on some HID bulbs as well. Probably the same shipment that you're waiting for which has apparently gone for an extended trip round some UK ports due to the bad weather.
