I have to say that I have been 8 years free of ALL Social Media (LinkedIn aside), and have never missed it one jot.

I find it sad that people in my village cannot come out for a beer like they used to on a Friday without checking their phone every 5 minutes, not joining in any conversations. I have noticed that the modern day obsession with checking your 'status' or 'likes' has come at the expense of good old Friday night banter.

Next time you are in a pub or restaurant, have a look round you and look at how many lemmings are sat welded to their phones instead of engaging with those around them......it's a sad state of affairs.

Spot on Sperly, I have never used any social media and feel all the better for it, when someone starts a conversation with Facebook blah blah blah it leaves me cold so i simply stop listening and nod every now and then.

Don't have much choice out here, the whole SBA runs on FB which I find strange as it is not the best security, even if you close down FB to the tightest security each added friend reduces your security by 50% by the time you have 20 "Friends" your security id worthless, any old hacker can get in via one of your friends lax security. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

In his house they found 500 cans of assorted food, 100kg of pasta, 75kg of rice, 200 toilet rolls and 30L of hand sanitiser which he had panic bought from Aldi “just in case!”.
