Probably a stupid question, but is a 2 ton jack ok to lift one corner of an FL2 to get it on an axle stand just to change a wheel |

Just had a google, and it seems a decent 2 ton jack will do one corner ok if the proper precautions are taken. |

The whole car weighs less than 2 tons, since you're only lifting one corner at a time, or roughly a quarter of the total, a 2-ton jack will give you plenty of spare capacity.

SGS are the OEM for the Halfords Advanced jack. I have owned and used mine for the last 6 years with no problems whatsoever....it lifted the Freelander with ease. A good investment IMHO |

Kage, in fairness I've had to use chocks on the jack top before to get the height, so 19.99 might be ok for the very occasional use.

I have a 2.5 t jack from screwfix extra lift. It lifts the corners easily, but struggled when I tried to lift the front |

I recently got the 5t telescopic bottle Jack from sgs, next day delivery and it just fits under the sill Jack point with a wood packer below the jack. Got plenty of lift range with that set up |

I have this one. Aluminium but still heavy! Ample lift height, good capacity, rubber pad, quick lift.
