England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Zermatt Silver
Chipped freelander 2

HI ,
i have been quoted £390 plus vat to get my freelander2 chipped. The guy, who was very helpful told me that i would get and extra 25bhp and around 3 to 5 extra miles to the gallon. Has anyone had this done, do the figures stack up and should i get it done. i have just bought my xs model 2007 with 5,000 miles on the clock and wouild expect to keep it at least 3 years.

By the way i love the car and pleased i changed from my audi A6

There are number of threads around on this.
I would say 125bhp sounds optimistic and beyond the safe limits of increase though. Usual increase from remapping/chipping seems to be ~40-50bhp.

For the money, I would consider a remap instead. Phil

The system these guys use is autologic. I have the brochure and it does state in there that it would increase the bhp from 160 too 185. I would state that i am new to freelanders and accept any advice.

so that's a 25bhp increase then?
here's a few threads to peruse, IMO a superchips Bluefin would be the one for me, if I choose to.
