I went on a french college exchange trip, normal practice was to steal the french flag from the college flagpole
The french got wise to this and didnt raise the flag that week, on the way home there was a ferry strike . Us students were allowed to sleep on the boat even though it was stuck in Diepe harbour all night, Me and a mate managed to liberate the tricolor from the back of the ferry. just deserts really for going on strike. At work
At home

Was a time (1980's) when the only thing found under my bed was an Airfix kit, Aurora AFX ( far better than Scalextric) and a strategically hidden copy or two of Fiesta magazine. Shocked

I had a 4 foot high cockerel that was "liberated" from the top of a Courage Brewery pub sign. My ever flustered and loving parent was a bit shocked when after me and a mate cleaned it with the garden hose and got soaking wet when she asked what we had been doing and my mate said we had been cleaning my cock!

in germany the lads used to nick bikes from town and ride them back to the barracks as they had no money left for a taxi. the local population rarely complained though as they would just drive out to the barracks in the morning, pick their bike out the several leaning up against the perimeter fence and then take the bike home again for the same to happen the following weekend Laughing

Our best eve was tempory traffic lights, they were on red too long, so a mate went to his car boot came back with an axe, (liberated from some idiots who were causing stupid trouble at a house party).
he felled the traffic light and we threw it in the boot.

Next morning he got a fright when police arrived at his door, turns out the house party when wrong after we left jewellery was stolen.
We converted the lights and used them every year at my mates scrapper races, basically buy an elderly car, strip all glass out and race them in a field until dead, normally boiled to death after radiators filled with soil. Oddly one of the best cars was an allegro, most common was a Bedford ha van as a local guy took all the ex post-office/bt vans and tried to sell them on, we got his unsold junk on the cheap.
Happy days, nobody was seriously injured despite a few trips to a&e At work

I woke up once at uni with those corrugated plastic tubes used to protect people from scaffolding wrapped around my arms and legs. Apparently I had staggered in the night before convinced I was a robot 🤣 Learned to drive in 2011.
Bought a Micra - great little car
"Upgraded" to Kia Sportage - hated it
Proper upgrade to FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - tailgate paint issues, fuel gauge rewire, transfer box failure at 36k miles, clutch at 60k
Reconditioned diff at 70k ish
Sold at 84k and now on a DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
