2013 Dynamic grill question?

Anyone know whether the chrome u shaped strip on a Dynamic grill is a separate part that is obtainable from JLR?
Mine has done the usual and the lacquer has come off in places making it look unsightly.... it looks like if it just clips in place and hence looks as though it could be changed???

I think it's part of the bumper, which is why some on here have used a bodyshop to repaint it.

I could be wrong though?

Thank you Lagered but it still doesn’t answer the questions.... on late FL2’s the grill is a separate unit from the main bumper unlike the earlier all in one units...
On the latter there is a chromed strip on the black grill... the chroming peels away and thus it’s not suitable for painting(unless you want to do it black or silver) ...
Personally the chrome effect looks good hence the question whether it was available separately...

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I take that as a no then....

If you look at the chrome part it clearly just clips in place after the grill is painted black...hence the question...

Thanks.... Sad

Doesn't come off in one part. You will need to split 3 parts of the grill from each other as well as from the lower bumper . It's a real pain in the backside and not a 5 minute job. Re-assembly is even more of a pain as you'll no longer have any plastic tabs to plastic weld together, so you'd need to use Tigerseal or Silkoflex to bond everything back together. Then clamp it all up in the correct position until the bond has fully cured. The front part of the grill would need to go on last as the bottom of it sits in front of the lower bumper lip. (the whole grill when fully assembled, clamps around the top of the lower bumper in effect). It's at this point you find out whether you've clamped the parts correctly, that they haven't moved and are 100% in the correct position as the front grill part won't fit .
Then, if the repaired paint should ever peel or get damaged in the future, then you're really screwed .
My advice - just mask it all off and repaint in situ .
