I used a GPT digital speedometer which uses a 10khz sensor for accuracy, provided the sensor is mounted in the horizontal plane the accuracy is fine thank you Thumbs Up

I try and check every new vehicle we get so we know exactly what kind of leeway there is on the inbuilt speedo, but with the advent of the new digital instrumentation with feeds from the vehicles ECUs TBH they are all more or less within 2-4 mph accurate. Regards

David

Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me......

Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again......

And I started with GPS using Leica post processing differential units in the 90's... but anyway, try taking a read from the OBD - it shows different numbers to the speedo! 2000 Xei 1.8 gone
2004 HSE Td4 Auto, MT's, sump guard, sliderz - gone
2014 GS Man - AT's, Mantec Sump guard and tank guard, split charger in boot, towbar, work in progress...

Just to bring this back on track - I have now downsized to 17's and really pleased with how they have come out.

The 235 / 65 / R17 Grabber AT3 are perfect, good road holding and nice and quiet too

Oh, and the eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed that I have also been playing around with some hydrographics too - Didn`t come out too bad

Nice. I swapped my 19s for 17s and no problems. Less kerb damage. I've still got the 19s in case I change my mind but haven't noticed any difference in handling. Then the old tyres were quite worn. 17s with Wranglers and lots of tread were cheaper than a new set of Grabbers for the 19s!

I have Wranglers on 17s on my 14 plate SD4. Just before Xmas my daughter hit a large pothole in her Renault also with 17s but low profile tyres, result was ruined tyre and rim. I had hit then same pothole the day before in my FL2 and hardly noticed it. For me low profile tyres make no sense at all. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Tried all three and in the end stuck with GG AT3 on 18", Fine and dandy thank you very much.

Potholes are slight dimples out here.

Sheep If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.
