Hi looked all underneath and nothing rubbing or heat shields lose so stuck really ' The only other clues is when we went out earlier it didn't do it about 10 mile ' But on return journey it started again and getting louder ! Sound when I go over bump from rear but I have aggressively shaken car and bounced nothing only when moving over bumpy roads ' God I be so happy if we can sort this as it's the high pitched rattly sound Any more ideas ?? Regards Tony |

drivers side spring, could only be spotted on a ramp, the squeak sounded like it was the dashboard or something hidden in the bulkhead . . .maybe a mouse

Just another idea – I had an irritating squeak it only started after about 10 minutes and only when dry if it rained it didn’t happen. End up being the rear brake pad separated from backing plate (N/S). You couldn’t tell by looking at them. Check if one wheel is warmer than any of the others. I’m not sure that would explain the chinking or rattle! |

I have an i6 so this is likely not applicable to your model but I also have a heat shield above my muffler that was loose and vibrating......fixed now.
