You can't make this up

Popped into local supermarket to pick up a couple of large spuds for dinner. No loose ones so forced to buy a couple in a bag. Wasn't until Significant Other opened the packet that we noticed there were cooking instructions Rolling with laughter In case we'd changed our minds there were also instructions on how to boil them.
Note to self . . . . check bread wrapper in the tomorrow to see if there is a recipe there for toast.

Just had dinner, potatoes were fine Wink

My drunk brother inlaw once put an unopened pot noddle into the microwave. Microwave caught fire and died.
Idiot.

My other half's brother-in-law has never done a thing for himself. He's now 48 and has only recently learned to make himself a cup of tea Shocked By his own admission, why should he do something for himself when someone else has always done it for him ? A very sad individual indeed.
Sadly the millenial generation seem to be the same. Unfortunately for them, their phone can't cook for them - but it can be used to order takeaways, which is virtually the same, isn't it ? I'll check on insta or facetimebook, or whatever. I'm sure it can be used to tell me a recipe for a delicious curry using an egg, red sauce (tomato ketchup ) , a can of orange fanta and some Nutella, "cos that's all I got in the fridge".

Bloke I worked with made some chips and decided to have a boiled egg so he dropped the egg in the chip pan and it exploded sending hot oil all over him and the kitchen. His wife who was away and due home the next day was a "clean fiend". I think she did more damage to him than the hot oil.

Quite agree - this was Waitrose and the packaging was non-recyclable. Suppose I should have unwrapped them after paying and left them the packaging.

I work alongside a team who have same beliefs when it comes to washing up in the mess room kitchen. It'll just be stacked up as they know that at some point the cleaners, who turn in twice daily and are told not to touch this stuff, will deal with it. It may be several days but eventually the cleaners clear it up; obviously take more pride in their jobs than my 'colleagues' do. And if you make reference to the dirty crocks, pans etc, it's a blatant denial, "not me, I didn't use it"

Rog I used to work in one such place and being a tad OCD it used to kill me and to keep asking folk to wash a single plate or even rinse a mug which was to much hard work.....

Until the day I left when I decided to have my own Greek night Laughing

Same at BCC. Big sign above both sinks in the kitchenettes either end of the building "Please do not leave dirty dishes to soak in the sink. It is unhygienic and prevents others from using it." The sinks and draining boards were always full of "soaking" dishes. Some even personalised with their names, but it's never theirs, someone else must have used it. Oh, and the cutlery supplied by BCC would always go missing, so in the end they stopped supplying it. The fridges were always full of penicillin too where people were too lazy to throw away left overs - I know, put it in the fridge instead of the bin. Also constant blanket emails because once again someone has had their sandwiches or Red Bull nicked from the fridge - you really couldn't make it up !!!

I once knew a fellow called Nigel Mansell, (not the) he came in from pub , hungry for chips and bobbed the chip pan on. anyway he must have dozed off for a while, he returned to kitchen thinking he hadnt been long and tested the fat temperature with his finger, deep frying his finger in the process. Shocked At work
