More Fuel Filler Flap / Boot Unlocking Problems

So, the boot won't unlock and nor will the fuel filler flap.

I thought it was the boot lock mechanism, so changed that, but it didn't help.

Then I found fuse 25 had blown, so thought it must be related to that. Replaced the fuse and it blew again a while later. Replaced again and it hasn't blown yet, but still can't unlock boot or fuel flap.

Boot sounds like something's happening, but something isn't disengaging.

Anyone got any bright ideas?

Should I just try replacing the fuel flap actuator and see if that cures it? But not sure why the boot isn't working even when the fuse isn't blown??

Lots of views, but no replies Crying or Very sad

I haven't had chance to have another go at finding a solution, so any suggestions would be gratefully received!

Note: I haven't had to replace mine but the latch switch is a know failure point.

Can you be more specific?

- Does the hatch release on the key Fob work?

- Does the hatch release if you hold the lock/unlock on the dash

- Does the hatch open with the micro switch in the handle

Take care

Paul

What year is your car? I had the fuel flap problem and it was one 10A fuse blown located on the front passenger footwell.

Thanks both. It's a 57 plate.

I still haven't resolved this, car just sitting on the drive. Need to find some time then sell it!!

I'll try and look at it one weekend soon.

Lexanu - I think the fuse you're referring to is perhaps the one I've already changed?
