United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Santorini Black
Clutch pedal stiff/notchy

Hi all,

From reading various other threads, I think my slave cylinder is on the way out. The clutch pedal is heavy and slow to return after being depressed. It’s also got some kind of notch/resistance towards the top of the pedal travel before springing the last bit of travel. I was hoping it was just the clutch pedal joints needing lubrication, but on the assumption it needs a new slave (and while there the clutch and FW may as well be replaced), what is the rough cost?

Can anyone recommend a good garage in Cumbria?

For info, the car is a 2013MY with 105k on the clock.

Cheers

Mike

I paid about £1100 at an indy in Edinburgh for all that. Probably find it cheaper and far more expensive too! Learned to drive in 2011.
Bought a Micra - great little car
"Upgraded" to Kia Sportage - hated it
Proper upgrade to FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - tailgate paint issues, fuel gauge rewire, transfer box failure at 36k miles, clutch at 60k
Reconditioned diff at 70k ish
Sold at 84k and now on a DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental

About £1200 for me for all that from an Indy in Huddersfield. Then another couple of hundred for a new pedal box fitting. Only about 50000 miles at the time !

Thanks both.

Deano - why did you need a new pedal box? Surprised
