Not a chance round here - rows of old turn-of-the-century terraced houses, no driveways, barely enough pavement for everyone to park up on. Garages Rolling with laughter I suppose we could all drape extension leads out of our front room windows

I thought people who live in terraced houses walked to the factories?

In South Greater London, where my son lives, he is not even allowed to have a dropped kerb (to access garden)as he is in the vicinity of a Bus Stop.

Parking, even on the road, is in short supply, and off road virtually non existent.

Mind you their public transport has excellent links into central London, even so, he uses his car to travel with family out of London.

Maybe the ordinary man in the street will not have a car, or even travel that much. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Sid.....having been born and grown up in Islington (before it was posh) I can honestly say I never saw a ferret.....the odd rat, and some very big odd rats too!

I think if we saw a ferret we would have had it for dinner....that’s dinner at midday not evening, that’s supper.....see how poor I was Rolling with laughter

Class is about the only thing left in this country we can joke about without being prosecuted, Up the Workers......not too far up because then they would be middle class and then where would we be? Wink

Lighten up people, we’ll all be dead soon....... Regards

David

A forum without banter will eventually die and wither - might as well read a manual, and how many people actually do that?

There is enough technical content here to make it a really useful resource, and enough p*ss take to make it interesting.

Please please please carry on with both - or I'll have to spend more time on the DS site Embarassed Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

No class on the DS site Whistle

Speaking of class, I got a call yesterday saying local yooths were drinking and messing around on/under our disused railway bridge, so I trundled down to 'get orf my land' them, mainly I got a load of abuse back.

I threatened to tell their parents, but we all worked out that I didnt have a clue who they were.

They moved on the the local cricket ground, where i took my boys to kids cricket, So I got to fall out with the little scallies a second time.
They now think I own land at the east and west of the village Laughing

Damage to the cricket ground over the last few days includes smashed padlocks, broken roof tiles on pavilion and vandalized sight screen. The volunteer grounds man is going to break some heads pretty soon. At work
At home

Such a pity we cannot use a rear window gun rack, such a great feature of Texas traffic Wink Regards
