Timing cover

Hi all, car was in for service yesterday at local Indy and on the sheet he’d written ‘timing cover coming away from head’ . When I queried this the guy went off to ask the mechanic and returned saying oh he was wondering if you’d had any work done on the timing belt etc as it seemed loose Shocked Shocked
I said no and asked if this was going to be a problem as he’d flagged it up and the reply was ‘nah should be ok’
I’m worried now, how do I see this cover is it at the right or left side once you’ve removed the plastic engine cover?
Cheers

It`s on the L/ H side (drivers) if you are looking at it standing at the front facing the engine. Thumbs Up

There are 2 bolts holding the bottom of the cover in place, and held in at the top by the air intake pipe and PS pipe, usually missing Laughing

I've just noticed my car doesn't have a timing belt cover. I was wondering where the oil was coming from , looks like it's spatter from the belt.
I had the timing belt changed by me local garage a year ado, wonder why they wouldn't have put cover backbon? If if course there is a cover? Are they hard to replace if I need one?

Yeah mine was the same. I found the top bolt in the bonnet catch after EGR replacement (but didnt know at the time where it had come from). On inspection they had stuck the top bolt in the lower bolt hole and left the top bolt off. Swapped the bolt over and replaced the other bolt and all well. Thumbs Up
