NEW FREELANDER TOWBAR (SOUTH AFRICA)

G4 OUTDOOR ADVENTURE have designed an after-market TOWBAR for the new Freelander in South-Africa.
Just got one fitted on my vehicle at a very affordable price.
I really received good service and would recommend G4 for any 4X4 equipment.

You can speak to Mr. Tino Bianco, he is the owner of the business.
His Mobile number is : +27828931736
Thumbs Up

Hi
They use the normal 7 core wire with a small black box that stops the power going back 2 the car incase of a electric short on the trailer, and on the black box is a buzzer to warn you that something is wrong on the plug,
current is going back 2 the car.

Thanks luke.
I still didn't decide if I'll go for the genuine towbar or an after market one. The eventual implications on the electronic systems still worries me...

Could you tell me more about how they solved the electrical problem. Land Rover sell an ECU for about £180. It sounds as if your system employs a simple relay. Do you know the make etc. Does connecting a trailer interfere with the bulb failure device on the FL2
