Yes, the car receiver looks same as yours, except I have 13 pin socket. Andy

Glad my pic came in handy. I suppose you could add a vertical plate to offset the ball higher up. Would need to be a heavy duty plate though. You could maybe ask at a towing specialist.

Is that not illegal unless the bar has been tested and approved with the plate?. I also notice that the Witter bar has a 120KG limit and the FL2 has a max limit of 220Kg nose weight at 60mph (100kph) one assumes the LR bar is not the same as the Witter

The EC Directive 94/20/EC (The standard that all towbars are designed to) states that the tow ball height should be between 350 and 420mm from the ground with the vehicle in a 'laden' state.
