Scotland 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Indus Silver
FL1 v FL2

Hi there! This is MRS DAVE. Just had to tell you how good my FL1 is in the snow. Dave says it's better than his!!!! Took him 3 hours tonight to travel 12 miles. I was smart and left early and it took me 1 hour to go 4 miles, no slipping whatsoever. I love my FL1...

Maybe he needs to be expelled from the FL2 forum for blasphemy Whistle

I know that one Laughing

"A plane carrying the Prime Minister crashes on the Scottish border

Panic stricken, special forces mobilise and descend on the farm in force.

When they get there, the wreckage was clear.

The aircraft was totally destroyed with only a burned hulk left smouldering in a tree line that bordered a farm. Soldiers descend upon the smoking hulk but could find no remains of the crew, Gordon Brown or his staff. To their amazement, a lone farmer was ploughing a field not too far away as if nothing at all happened. They hurried over to surround the man's tractor.

"Sir," asked a soldier, panting and out of breath. "Did you see this terrible accident happen?"

"Yes. Sure did." The man muttered unconcernedly.

"Do you realise that it was Gordon Browns aeroplane?"

"Yes........"

"Were there any survivors?" the soldier gasped.

"No. They were all killed straight out." The farmer sighed cutting off his tractor engine. "I buried them all myself. Took most of the morning."

"The Prime Minister is dead?" The soldier gulped in disbelief.

"Well," the farmer sighed, obviously wanting to get back to his work. "He kept saying he wasn't... but you know what a liar he is"." At work

Still pining for my F/L1 but I cannot fault Freeda in the snow and ice, just came down a 1 mile long very steep descent in the Cotswolds, total ice all the way using a combination of hill descent and terrain response. Formidable, did not realise how bad it was until I got out of the motor to help a guy in one of those Japanese trucks who had deliberatly stuffed it up the bank to stop himself at a hairpin bend. Could hardly stand up. Tow rope out, pulled him out, no sweat! What a machine. still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit
