Side mirrors stopped working when car put into reverse

Morning all,

Happy New Year to each of you?

My car's two side mirrors have stopped moving downwards as they are meant to whenever I place my car in reverse?

Has anyone had this happen to them?

Liz

Yes.

Just put your car into reverse. Adjust your mirrors manually for where you want them angled. Then press the memory button for the seats. Hey Presto! Chris

Mine did 'dip' when I select reverse but now they have stopped doing that. Its useful to have them dipping on reverse sometimes but not others e.g I prefer them to stop 'up' when reversing the caravan.

Can I turn on/off this function, if so how?

No on/off button - you can either use the function or not, depending on how you have adjusted the mirrors Exclamation 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

You could sort it so that Memory button 1 has the mirrors dipping, and Memory Button 2 doesn't. Then select either memory button for your preference at the time. Chris

... or it would be if the dipped position was remembered by the memory function.

I tried doing that, and the dipped position remained at the latest setting irrespective of the memory slot chosen.
