Power chips LR2 2011

Has anyone added power chip to LR2 if so were results on buying one worthwhile.
Ie. More power = more mpg?[/b]

Sounds more like it which/whose remap did you use and is that a constant mpg your getting. I trust that’s a Freelander 2 Td4 150bhp 2011 onwards model we are talking about

Our previous Td4.e had an Alive map too, and achieved high 44's

I had ours chipped around 3 years ago with a Unichip.

The Unichip is unique in that your car gets mapped on a dyno - thus the map are car specific.

What makes it better and safer in my opinion is that eg at 2000rpm can safely handle 14% more fuel but only 6% at 3000rpm. The Unichip can be set like that whereas those generic plug-in chips can only add a fixed % throughout the rev range, eg 9% allover.
