2011 Model year FL2 Clutch Pedal Click

Help please, the clutch pedal is clicking

It seems to work fine but on release of the pedal and almost at its final part of travel there is and audible click, you can also feel it in the foot at times. It seems the pedal almost seems to jump the last couple of millimetres.

There is nothing obvious on the pedal connections themselves visible in the footwell, and I have not been under the car yet.

Any ideas, this is frustrating/annoying and obviously of some concern.

Many thanks.

No idea, sorry, with that and the other grief I sold the car, and like a complete idiot bought a Discovery Sport, that is just a year old now and has been returned to the dealer 13 time for warranty repair!

NEVER AGAIN will any JLR product sit on my drive!

Oh dear.. My FL2 has been fine so far (except for brake light water leak). Don't think the clutch pedal thing is too much unless it gets worse. Can't see much down there. 45000 miles so hope linkages (if any) aren't worn. It does spring back sometimes at the top of travel . Only noticed it over last few weeks. No more JLR for you then

Yes mine was the same when I bought it, took me ages to track what was causing the click and rubbing, checked the spring, removed the pivot points and finally found what it is. It’s the plastic clutch pivot point, it goes dry and rubs plastic against plastic.
Now for the pain in the derrière to lubricate it, I tried spraying oils from underneath initially this did not work, so removed the under dash airbag to fix once and for all, when you remove this panel you can just about get your fingers in to grease the area.

Thanks for this. Removing airbag panels sounds too tricky for my ability.. I've tried spraying so might take i6 to garage when it gets a bit worse

Local Indy fixed it today. They'd never seen it before, but a part at the top of the pedal had been wearing on some plate / stud or other .where it goes through the bulkhead . The metal plate had metal chafed off it so it's been doing it for ages. Just noticed it recently. Pedal was moved along a bit so it clears it now

Ah - I worked there when i left school many years ago - was a Lada garage at the time Rolling Eyes

How much did they charge for the fluid change? might get mine done next week when it's having the hadex oil + filter change and fuel filter change
