United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

I also get a very strong burning clutch smell in the car - but only when reversing up a hill.
after about 10 seconds the smell starts.
Can pull away without the smell being there, just reverse!

is this is a fault?
