Renting a FL2?

Hi

I'm due to take a long drive shortly and was wondering if I should hire a FL2 for the journey before I buy one. I know some rental companies keep them on their fleet but can you select the type of car upfront?

has anyone hired a Fl2?

Thanks

Rich

Rich,

It certainly wouldn't hurt to hire one. If you've never driven one then it'll give you a good overview. Obviously I'm slightly biassed, but they are fantastic to drive. Having driven the competition, the FL2 is definitely the most fun and comfortable. Why not chat up a LR dealer and see if you can borrow one for an extended test drive.

I have borrowed FL2s and Discovery 3's from my local LR dealer, for 24 hr test drives.
No restrictions on mileage mentioned.

Worth a try.

I know when I was trying to hire cars after a car accident, when a Mondeo wouldn't do, as the seats really hurt my back, that your best bet is smaller companies.

The problem is, that even if the staff are very helpful and accomadating, they can't pre-book cars, just a class. They can just be helpful with giving you the choice as to what they have at their site right there and then.

Hope you manage to, then buy one, best car I've ever had

Rich

Try Thrifty Car Rental, they have FL 2's on their hire fleet.
They have a branch in Norwich.

When my FL2 was off the road, Land Rover arranged for a courtesy replacement through Thrifty.

Thanks everyone for your valuable input...the trip is actually a week in Scotland...so that's probably beyond a delear extended test drive.

Yes I will have a look at Thrifty I drove past their place by chance this evening

This is such a great website!
