Terrain Responce Error

After a year of problem free motoring I have just encountered an error with Terrain Response.
After several days mountain driving using the Snow and Ice program, I have just noticed that when the Freely is started after a night in my garage the program remains "stuck" in the Snow and Ice position.
During the journey home the General Program was used, but each time the Freely is started now the Snow and Ice has been automatically reselected. The Handbook says that special programs remain active for six hours after the ignition has been switched off, so there seems to be an error on my TR system.
I have a feeling that this problem has been discussed earlier on the forum - any ideas Question 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
