Time v money. It’s does not need to be like a new disc, removing slag is all that’s required as you the champher the new or old pad (slightly) on fitting. If you want a 100% shinny finish get new. But why waste money on that when you could be up the fell with lavishing it on FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current | ||

| globe Member Since: 23 Mar 2017 Location: Auckland Posts: 73 | i noticed today that the brakes only seem to start squealing after they have warmed up, when I was off to work this morning they weren't squealing until I had been driving for 5 minutes or so (same yesterday and Saturday), Any ideas if this gives any pointers ? thanks | ||

| Flukey Member Since: 20 Dec 2017 Location: Yorkshire Posts: 41 | My brakes squeal, but only at a certain speed with a certain amount of pressure on the pedal - when braking from 15mph to a stop. It doesn't do it for a couple of days after I've washed the car so I guess it's poor quality/cheap pads that were fitted by the previous owner, still plenty of life in them. | ||
