2014 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Orkney Grey

I do love a classic restoration and the really early stuff being located and restored is of course very important for historians and the manufacturer but it all sometimes gets s bit silly with the prices involved.
Classic Minis are a passion of mine and I have a '63 in excellent restored condition. The first year of Mini production, '59 cars now change hands for what seems like crazy money Coopers and Cooper Ss are now well beyond the ordinary person's reach., I think it was the seventh oldest mini built was located a few years back and made £42k at auction needing a complete restoration.
You only have to look at the prices of classic Fords, especially the "fast" Fords to see how crazy the market is.
I hope this Landrover is sensitively restored but in all likelihood it will be a nut and bolt to better than new restoration. Better than disintegrating further in a field. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

2007 Freelander 2 i6 HSE Auto Santorini Black

Chassis number 1 was found some years ago in a right old stat, the owner was going to restore it don't know how as you can't get bits for it, haven't heard if it was ever done or left as I think it should. Common sense isn't very common.

My apologises, perhaps heading should have said PROTOTYPE not first. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

shame it wasn't the centre steer. Common sense isn't very common.
