Obviously I don't know how extensive the damage is or your DIY skills but FYI you can buy a variety of replacement USB sockets for just a few quid. Jules

Just snapped off the plastic tab from inside the socket while removing usb cable.
Irritating to say the least, however, £60 for something as simple as that is a bit steep.
