I was looking at the photos this evening and playing "guess what that car was" then I saw that photo and instantly clocked the FL2

I wonder how the insurance assessors will get on trying to identify each vehicle to prove that it was in there? I guess that the engine number will be the only surviving identification. Apparently there are also some vehicles on the roof undamaged but I guess it won't be possible to drive them out due to H&S issues so do they get written off too? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

If/when they trace it back to an individual car can you imagine when it comes to his renewal time....

''Have you made any claims in the last 5 years?''
'' Yes, 1 in January 2018''
'' What was the claim amount?''
'' 5 million pounds.................. hello! hello! anyone there?''

thankfully there was no loss of life though Thumbs Up

After a spot of Googling, i'm wondering if the 'old land rover' was actually a P38

Wonder if it was on LPG?

Even at an average value of £10,000, the payout for 1400 cars will be £14M 😳. That RR may be in a class of its own though! 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Who should pay out for the Range Rover? It’s not been damaged, burned or stolen; can someone legitimately claim from their own insurance company for simply no longer being able to get to their, otherwise perfectly good, car? Is this more of an issue for the car park owners and their insurers?

More importantly, are the owners still liable for parking fees?!

If that was mine ....... I would get my brother-in-law to wind up his helicopter (with lifting gear) and pick it off of the roof.

I would be willing to pay Liverpool council their 'lost ticket' fee on the carpark.

Long reach crane hire for the 15 undamaged (?) cars on the roof may exceed their value. Especially if you factor in the danger money for the tourpusher(s) who has to get up there first to rig up the harness to lift each car without damage.

wonder how many of those insured will have their insurance company trying to squirm out of paying, particularly those undamaged but inaccessible ones left on the roof.

but they cant just demolish the lot with those cars on the top, some engine oil may spill and damage a passing polar bear. they will have to fully de-pollute the cars before knocking the car park down under them.

All this is the fault of horses, first they invade our roads, now they are invading car parks, someone has to stop this Rolling Eyes At work
