From memory ...... you press the buttons to fold them in. Then pull them out into the normal position. Once you lock the doors they should remain out. I need to disable mine before the frosty mornings appear. Then in summer I'll press the mirror buttons again and they will fold when doors are locked again. Might just need some spray grease spraying down there ?? Push mirrors towards front of car ( when they are open) . There will be some creaking and groaning, but it reveals where you can spray some grease. It was frightening the first time I did it, since I didn't know how much to force it, but I need to do it again now , a few years later. |

With my landy mirrors. If I fold mirrors in by using the buttons then lock the car normally they won't open when you unlock. GS Sd4 2012 |

Update I’ve disabled mine today. Start the car and then fold the mirrors in via the two switches on the door card. Then simply fold them out to the normal position. Switch car off and lock her up. The mirrors will now stay open |

I use the fact that the mirrors are CLOSED to indicate the car is locked, peeping out of my home window. |

Handy to disable it for winter as the water sitting on the mirror housing when folded is a receipe for disaster unless you scape all the ice off it prior to unlocking |
