Been out loooking for a friend to join the D3 over the past few days. First went to look at a black 57 SE in Coventry on Wednesday - nice and tidy, but the test drive revealed the rear diff had gone and on making a phone call to the excellent Steve Norman, he looked up the cost of a diff he'd done on an orange one. I walked away from it though. Next morning, what should I find but a Tambora Flame HSE for sale on Autotrader...

Yep, it's that very one! 102k, manual. As well as the rear diff it's had a clutch and DMF, cam belt and walter pump, valve and updated inlet manifold etc. done by Steve. Been to see it this morning and collecting it mid-week.

Already bought a pair of roof bars from a member on here and a pair of xenons on Ebay. Never thought we'd own an orange Freelander, but I love the glow in the sun and sooo much better than something dull.
