Squeaky Suspension

My suspension squeaks when driving over large speedbumbs. It stops after a few minutes of driving, though. I recently drove relatively slowly over a largeish flowerpot that was buried under 30cm of fresh snow. Could the suspension be hurt, or is it a problem that arises when it is cold? 2007 Freelander 2 HSE i6

Might be a cold bush? Stop it!

I don't think a flower pot could have damaged the suspension, was there any large crash when it happened? does it drive straight or pull to one side

It maybe the suspension mounts that need a little lube, Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thanks npinks! There wasn't any real crash, just the usual thud that comes when you drive into a large hole in the tarmac. Thing is that the squeaky noise came after the flowerpot incident. I will take the car to service just in case. I think your'e right about lube... 2007 Freelander 2 HSE i6

Cold bush was serious.
As the rubber heats up it expands and stops squeaking

Isn't there an old wives tale about a bucket of water thrown over the suspension or something like that to stop squeaking of bushes and gaiters etc? 58 HSE, auto, lago grey, tints. Mine and my dogs Storm and Sky

Either that or get under and give it a liberal dousing with silicone spray.

It'll get washed off in about a week though.... Confused
