Anyone that has installed auxiliary driving lights?

I have bought Hella Luminator Compact xenon auxiliary driving lights. Hella didn't have a mounting bracket for Freelander 2 so they shipped a universal bracket. It's the kind that you mount behind the registration number plate. I called a dealer to ask if it could cause any problem as you have to drill holes in the bumper. He didn't give a really clear answer though. Is it anyone on the forum that has mounted such a bracket? Or if not, anyone who has dismounted the bumper and knows what is behind?

if you look at the mounting instructions on ownersinfo for the front bumper styling cover (the big black nudge bar) that involves screwing it the the bumper

It might give you a indication to what holes sizes and tightness of the bolts Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thanx for the tip npinks Thumbs Up I've printed it out and will have a good look at it. Also found manual for fitting LR original auxiliary driving lamps. I'll have a look at that and see if any good info to draw from. Saw that you get an original LR switch for those lights. Thinking I might hear with my dealer if the switch is sold separately. It will probably look better than the one from Hella.

Yup christian138, pics will be posted when the fitting is completed Smile Might take some time though, don't think I'll get it done this weekend.
