I hope that the noise issues can be resolved...

I need the roof rails and I don't see the day the roof rails are available....

I know the difference between roof rails and roof bars - what I'm saying is that you can now buy from Thule a footpack No 750, bars 862 aero or 762 square and a FL2 specific fitting kit No 1443. These roof bars are a gutterless mount system and do not require the FL2 roof rails which will probably be LR stealer supply only (and made by Thule as ej said) and presumably extortionately priced.

I spoke with LR customer Service yesterday - the guy on the phone said that they were having 'manufacturing problems' with the roof rails.

He said they still had no firm date for them to be on general release to the dealer network but suggested it could be sometime in July !!

I ordered the Thule set JMMYM suggested. Total price around € 210. I do not have to wait for the roofrails up to July, which is good, as I will be on holiday by then Cool

BTW, when I ordered the car, the dealer gave me the roofrails and roofbars for free. In Holland they are priced for € 650 resp. € 160.

I spoke to the Parts man at my dealership today who phoned LR while I was there. The roof rails should be available in about three weeks. The part number will change and for those with a sun roof these will not fit. LR will be issuing a revised design (but not in kit form - you will have to buy various parts apparently) for these vehicles and they will need to go through engineering etc and will take some time... A bulletin will be issued to dealerships when each roof rail application becomes available. So looks like the prototypes were not properly developed across the range - they look nice in the brochures though Exclamation

I can get all sorts of other useless Censored for the car like my side pipes, lamp guards, aluminium sill trims body kits, spoilers and the like but the most of us want and used in the old FL1 days we can't get Big Cry Big Cry Whoever at LR put this as a non essential item needs sha!*ing with a rough handled broom....I have not been able to go anywhere with our bikes for six months which id a real pain in the butt.
