Saying goodbye to my FL2

After 85k miles I've sold my 08 FL2.
I need something a bit more practical as I hardly use the car. I'm downsizing.
So, i'm leaving the brand sorry to say.
It's been an interesting few years of ownership and I've met some very nice people thanks to this forum. Many thanks to those and you know who you are!
I've nothing to complain about the car; sure it's had a few probs, several DMF's, rear diff, air con compressor, door locks etc but I've still enjoyed ownership.
I now await to have my gallbladder removed in two weeks time!! Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Hi Greg,

Sorry to hear the FL2 is going, but more importantly the operation is without any problems.
look forward to hearing from you post op.

Will not be doing radio on Rally GB this year as now I am 77 I cannot cope with the nearly 20 hours in the
forest for the 2 stages but will let you know if I am in the area next year for one of The Bitish Rally Championship or BTRDA events.

Best regards,

I got rid of my FL2 last February after one or two little niggles and the nagging feeling in the back of my mind that something major was about to go on it. I'd had it 3 years and loved it but with a budget of around £14k I wasn't going to be able to but a 3 years old FL2. Wanted something 'comparable' (yes I know that is hard to define) but ended up with a compromise (the wifes doing). I got a 2 year old Ford Kuga Titanium X with AWD within my budget (it was high mileage but what the hell).

I've already posted on this so won't repeat myself but I most certainly have envious looks every time a FL2 passes me.

Did I make a mistake - OF COURSE I DID!!!!

Had my gallbladder removed the day before yesterday.
Arrived home 7pm the same day but couldn't sleep due to pain. It was the same 1st day back home.
Today is another matter altogether. The pain has eased and I've managed a few hours sleep. I've a raging appetite and had a small beef dinner with Yorks.
My Consultant says I can eat anything I want now but be sensible!!
The Staff at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital have been fantastic, can't fault them.
Glad it's all over and no more painful attacks.

I'd just like to add that from reporting my gallbladder attacks to my GP and to having the thing removed took only 4 weeks.
Top stuff NHS!!!! Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
