Loss of power on acceleration with coughing out soot

Hi All,

my 09 FL2 has started to cough out black soot on acceleration associated with a stuttering lack of power with lower revs. Once going at cruising speed everything seems to work well. I have checked the air filter, which was clean, though I've not checked all the hoses yet. I have looked at different possibilities, but there seems to be varying ideas. The AA said fault code was 'Turbo solid valve', but that was different to what the guy said when he first checked it. Is anyone able to point me in the right direction? Many thanks

Hi Mr.B

I had the same fault code on mine, turned out to be a split intercooler pipe under the throttle body.
The pipe had split at the back of the pipe closest to the engine.

The pipe itself and surrounding areas was also covered in oil from blow by oil vapor coming through the split.

thanks for the help. It was indeed a split interior pipe. New one ordered. Thanks again!
