Money transfer

What's the best way to transfer a largish sum of money to Canada ? I use an app that gives a not bad rate of exchange but when I go online the rate is rubbish. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

Wales

I have used TransferWise for quite a few Sterling to Euro transfers to Eire.

Way cheaper than the Banks and reasonable exchange rate.

Never had a problem and quite simple to set up.

Hope that helps

Cheers

Tom

Transferwise is by far the cheapest and quickest way to transfer money abroad. I have used Moneycorp, HiFx and a few others including my own bank to transfer money to USA but since I found Transferwise, I haven't used anything else.

Yes, it will. You obtain the best bank rate instead of 3 or 4 percent below. They obviously do make money out of the small charge which is only about half a percent and you only pay that on your second or subsequent transactions as the first is free. On £1000 last week it cost me less than £5 and I received top exchange rate. It is peer to peer currency exchange.

I have no connection with them but I am just happy to save a lot of money when transferring currency Smile .
