Anyone know what type of rivnuts I need for fitting these? Part number or size would be helpful.

Off the top of my head I think they are 8mm - will have a look tomorrow
If you look closely you can see the rivnuts in this pic - nothing special about them should be able to get them locally without Land Rover adding their lots of pennyworth
If you are having trouble sourcing the right ones I may be able to assist but need to check properly

You need M6 rivnuts to fit side steps.
Can get them on bay for nxt to nothing . Back in black !!

Are these the ones I need? Do I need a hand rivet gun too?

Yes they are the type of rivnuts you need
You will need to find away of compressing them - google rivnuts and you will find all sorts of ingenious ways to do it - I have a rivet gun cost about a fiver off eBay No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS

I bought a rivit tool of eBay for about £8. A must to fit the steps 👍 2013 hse auto, black, almond leather, exnon lights, factory privacy glass, exhaust finisher, rear boot spoiler, mud flaps. Body door side moulding and steps.

I've fitted a couple of pers of steps, the rivit tool is like a spanner and you use it with a rachit to depress the rivit.
