1st service

Hi all,

Just contacted my Danish Dealer regarding the 1st service & replacing the engine oil.

They advised they use a Castrol oil, so I requested the exact type- I'll then check it against YF's recommended list.

They also said I could supply my own oil - but who know's if they actually will use it ??

Maybe I should fit that reversing camera, and record what they do Thumbs Up Rolling with laughter Thumbs Up

.......they advised Castrol Magnatec 5W-30 ACEA A1/B1 - which is below the specification recommended by YF.

So......I will provide my own oil Thumbs Up

I have not (yet). I want a hot car (winter is coming), not just warm seats.
I have not had trouble during my 16 months, and I choose to believe that it will continue to be so
until LR can do it properly, not only a provisional solution. LR Freelander2 2,2 Td4 HSE manuel Stornaway Grey (Metallic) & Ebony Black Leather & Sun/Moon-roof & Bi-Xenon & Roof Rails & Tow bar & Body side rubbing strips & Cold climate pack & Privacy glass & NavTeq . Sorry, but I have changed to Defender 90 ", and I love my" tractor ".

On a similar thread I am probably going to take my own oil for the 1st service.

How much would I expect to get off the £430 price if I do that? £30??!
