Was the engine making any strange noises or a loss of power? Do you have access to a fault code reader?

No faults found on scan , so it's got to be mechanical? Could it be clutch / dmf ?

Has this ever happened before, if it were any of those I would think you might notice a change over time. It could be something simple like some dirt in the fuel filter. Any other symptoms or information?

I had a very similar problem that turned out to be the handbrake. The problem started after a short drive as the handbrake warmed up. The car would vibrate quite badly until I slowed down and then it would stop. Felt like drive shafts failing, did not seem to come from the rear of the car and could feel it though the seats and pedals. Took rear brake drums off after reading a similar report on this site to find one side completely seized and the other not much better. Rebuild brakes. Fixed the vibration problem and had the added bonus of a handbrake that really worked.

Possible front brake caliper partly seized and one brake staying part on, then freeing off. Common fault in all makes. All FL2's (3) Gone
2011 Mercedes C180 CGI Gone
FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.
