Hi Guys. [b]New Here and from SA. I have a LR2 2010 model and it has from yesterday developed a slight pinking and loss of power. Not dead but not as good as a couple of days ago. On full throttle it is also giving off black smoke but on normal revs it is fine. I have looked at different forums and tried a few things but in looking have discovered that a throttle body pipe just below the throttle body has a bit of a crack about 3cms long. Can this pipe affect what my vehicle is currently doing or does that affect something else.

Yes that split could produce the effects you are experiencing, worth checking the other hoses as well. Keep us posted.

Hi Guys just wanted to let you know that my vehicle is fixed. It is called a boost pipe from inlet to intercooler. Took it to LR yesterday and they replaced it at an exorbitant cost. Vehicle is running like a dream again. Not sluggish but full of power. No smoking etc, so my problem is fixed.

Glad it's sorted, the hoses are relatively inexpensive but one of the hoses necessitates front bumper removal so I believe.
