The bumper dent will easily reform with heat, may be lucky with the spoiler bit as well. |

Isn't this like those videos you see floating around? from watching those, if you boil the kettle then pour it over the dent from the top it simply reforms back into (or close to) its original shape..

Thanks for the ideas, I've looked at a few videos and I'll have a go this afternoon. Hopefully It might be easier than some as I'll be able to pull the dent out using the hole for the foglight. |

The foglight is attached to a plastic moulding which is welded to the back of the bumper, and is likely to have broken free on impact. I had the same thing when I hit a pheasant recently! Fixing it is a bumper-off job unfortunately as there's no access with the bumper attached. The thread below shows my repair. http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic22082.html |

It's certainly good to know that a crunched bumper will spring back into shape. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE |

Once again I am truly impressed with what you can learn on this forum!! If this had happened to me I would likely have gone to a body repair shop and paid Lord knows what to have them pour a kettle of water over my bumper!!

I was really surprised how easily they came out, even the really creased dent on the spoiler element,,,I couldn't bring myself to pour boiling water over it thinking it would damage the paintwork!!!
