2014 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Loire Blue

Glad your getting this fixed, mine had the beeps, Land Rover know how to fix it, as said it needs software update. When mine was done they also replaced the sat nav module as that was playing up at the same time, my drivers seat was also fixed after the update, (easy entry not working). So I believe this beeping alarm causes other electrical issues. Good luck.

Every time I post something I appear to learn something the delearship hasn't told me! What's this easy entry system? You appear to mention it in the context of the drivers seat

I think its to do with the drivers seat lowering when you switch off the ignition, allowing easier exit. Then rising when your back in and ignition on. Don't think mine has this feature but I have the seat right down anyway.

not sure which model years it applies to either

oh and you need electric seats with memory function too as it wont work with manual seats Whistle Laughing

"Easy entry & exit" is found in your driver configuration screen in your dash. By tucking this function the seat will lower and slide back from the memorised position to allow easier entry/exit from the car. It works on starting and once you've closed down the engine and open drivers door.
I suggest you spend some time with your owners manual!!!! MY15

I'm only guessing Rog that it was available from facelift onwards. Maybe worth asking the question to be sure Thumbs Up MY15

not really fussed for myself Stu, im 6'3'' so the seat is at its lowest and furthest back anyway Laughing

was just gathering more general info on the cars and specs available.

I have the 8 way electric memory seats but there is only me drives it so I only adjust the back rest or lumbar support on longer journeys or for comfort.

no body touches my baby !! Very Happy

Alarm bleep now fixed but they appear to be forgetful as to how it was fixed...? Guessing it was the software update that everyone was suggesting. Interestingly the Sat nav / Infotainment system hasn't locked up on the black/white screen of death.

Still slightly puzzled about the seat easy entry exit system. The divers seat is powered + three memory settings. The switch that drives the seat forward and back can be raised/lowered at either end to tilt the front or back of the whole seat (Iincluding seat back)
But it's not really raising or lowering as such. Ok it moves it maybe an inch or two but not to make any real difference. I guess I was expecting something slightly more dramatic.

Just noticed that post entry exit bleep fix by dealership I no longer have the option in the setup menu to enable or disable the feature. They appear to have completely removed it?
Also the manuals that came with the car have no mention of this feature or the easy entry exit feature?

Had a strange locking problem occur the other day.
Car is normally always kept in the garage and double locked, unlocked car as normal with fob, drove into town, parked up and came to lock the car and it wouldnt, just 2 beeps each time.
Thought it must be a door not fully closed so opened and closed them all including the tailgate and bonnet, but still the same wouldnt lock just gave 2 beeps, tried unlocking and locking with the fob quite a few times, but the same 2 beeps.
Nothing showing on the dash display to say something was amiss or not shut properly.
So had to leave the car unlocked as I had appointment, just put on the crook lock and folded the mirrors and fingers crossed no one would try the doors.
Upon return an hour later car would lock as normal and beep once to say alarm set and has done ever since?
