Ooops

Minor damage caused by some idiot reversing a gatepost into me.
MoreThan insurance were great - well, they did exactly what an insurance company should do: no quibble, no voluntary excess, NCB intact and a courtesy car.

now if it had been a proper Land Rover bumper (aka steel girder) then we would have been seeing a picture of the offending (uninsured) gate post lying on its side Whistle

You might have a protected NCB but I bet your insurance goes up next year. I ran into a deer a few years ago and that's what happened to me. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

yep and me. poor little Bambi didn't stand a chance at 70mph on the M42.

The repair shop receptionist didn't believe I had hit a deer until the mechanic walked in with a clump of fur and put it on her desk Rolling with laughter

The area of the vehicle that used to be called the bumper is fairly useless on most new cars and Land Rovers are equally pathetic in this respect...... but in this case it looks like the crumply plastic has actually worked in absorbing much of the impact and hopefully the floor pan at the corner has escaped without much deformation. I reckon that if one took the bumper off and borrowed the hairdryer off her indoors (or him indoors ) you could pop that squidgy dent out. Still need a re-spray as body coloured paint finish long ago replaced the much more practical mat black plastic finish such as the D3 once had.
Hope the damage is limited anyway.

A neighbour did just that, he said his gatepost had moved from where it was yesterday, I said he must be imagining it, same as sometimes folk think their FL2 has risen in ride height. Laughing
