Dunno if this has been discussed before. I was wondering what mod I would have if possible and thought a power tailgate would be useful. Has anyone any knowledge of what components make up a power tailgate system? I'm thinking of two scenarios :-

1. Modifying the rams somehow so that when I use the remote to unlatch the tailgate I it raises itself (no close mechanism) so I can load stuff without having to put it on the ground first. Seems might be possible.

2. Full electric system as per Ford, Honda etc. Much bigger job but what would be involved (close would need a button somewhere, not bothered by remote close).

Any thoughts? Is it bonkers, is it possible? FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory
