Long or Chunky?

Has anyone else noticed that the Freelander 2 can either look Long or Chunky?

I often find myself looking at other FR2's on the road and they always look either one or the other. Those without the Roof rails/bars AND side steps/tubes and those without.

Without looks long and sleek and with looks considerably "Squarer and squat"

Or is it just me?

I think the roof rails look too high - lower would be better - and side-steps on an FL2 look c***! If I were ever to buy a used FL2 with side steps the first thing I'd do is remove them.

I am unsure about steps although the tubes look ok in my opinion.

Another phat n chunky! I also like the sleek look but don't currently rock it lol! I reckon chunky folk are more pic happy and ready to post than the sleek gang...

Just get yourself a long pair of legs like mine Jim, then you won't need sidesteps.
