Any One With TOPIX - After A Break Down Of Turbo Hose Parts

Hi - has any one got a break down of the turbo hose parts for a 56 TD4 ?

Had a quote for £125 for a bit of rubber so far so I'm looking around....

T

EDIT - I think its this part as a found a small split in the top part of the hose where the jubilee clips are...

I bought both sets of hoses from DPH for my Freely. Took about 3 hours to install, and added injector cleaner to the tank.
Huge difference in performance and MPG. Thumbs Up

At the time I was looking to replace the hoses between the turbo and inter-cooler as they had splits on the inside.
The OEM parts for this was around £185 here in SA.

So it was an easy decision for me to rather to buy both kits from DPH and replace all the hoses.

hi gasman

Mine was very sluggish under 2000 rpm, sounded like it had a massive blow-off valve installed, and heavy on the MPG...

Initially I only had the hose by the throttle body that split, which I replaced and all seemed fine for a bit.
Then a couple of months later the above symptoms started, and eventually I took all the hose off to inspect them and found quite a few internal splits in them.

Replacing the lot is definitely worth the effort. Thumbs Up

Hi Kabous1

Thanks for the reply.

Its interesting that you say the splits were on the inside. I've just taken all the hoses off mine but can't see any defects.
The problem with my car is between 2000 and 3000rpm as you try to accelerate it appears to hunt for air, the car slows and jolts as it tries to find the boost again.
If you accelerate hard from a stand the revs rise quickly and the car will just red line in all the gears and speed is no longer a problem. Question
