England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Firenze Red

Black looks much better than the 'chrome' default items. The brushed satin may look better too given the finish of the spoke outer ends.

On looks... My body side mouldings arrived yesterday but I'm not sure I like them on the red. They also seem wider than those I fitted to my previous car although that is probably a bit of a memory trick on my part. Anybody got a red car with the greyish black body side strips fitted?

England 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Santorini Black

You're welcome Chucka, got mine from EBay for about £13.50. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

It's true that light travels faster than sound, some people look quite intelligent until you hear them speak.

Stop global winging.

Thanks for that LR Nut. Most helpful to see the car as it would look but still not sure I want to do it to mine. Having bought the strips maybe getting them painted is the thing to do.

Already collected a vertical tramline scratch on the rear bumper so when I get that fixed may the strips can be done too.

I would agree and have them coded to match the car. I specced them on mine from new but told the dealers that I wanted them coded to begin with. However they ordered the car up with them on from factory as they said it works out cheaper for them (customer still pays the full price) and that JLR told them that they clip off Rolling with laughter therefore they can paint them at the bodyshop.

The picture below is when it came off the transporter. Brand new unregistered vehicle however it looked dated with the door mouldings and the D pillar just didn't work for me against Fuji White. You cannot tell from the picture but the mouldings were a greyish black from new.

15 months later and the doors mouldings are still like new. This picture was taken last Saturday.
