First service in our ownership is due - all 4 ( 6 see below) before done with Guy Salmon main dealer at Maidstone

Do we ........

1} Stick with the Main Dealer?

2) Use or normal local garage that we use for other cars, know and trust but not sure how much experience of LR ?

3) Trusted Independent LR garage in Kent ?


If Independant can felow Kent owners recommend who to go to or stay away from

Is it under warranty of any sort? I would go with 1 or 3, the car is more complex than most vehicles and you need people who are used to seeing the common issues and have the diagnostic gear. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Sorry, I can't really help on this one, but will be interested in the answers myself soon!

Several years ago when I has my S2a I used http://landmarklandrover.co.uk/ for spares and bits. Very helpful, but no idea on their work.

Now my nearest indy is http://lrskent.co.uk/, who seem to have good words said about them, but not had a proper review from anyone who has personally used them.

I'll probably give them a go unless I find any better recommendations.

Don't think it would under any warranty now as a 2008 -

but read long thread on here that the Cambelt/chain and any damaged done by it going prematurely before LR recommended mileage change would be as long as it had been serviced in line with LR at a main dealer and/or maintained with genuine LR parts

Ok had long emails back and forth with main dealer who had serviced it up to now

Its had x6 A & B Main Services done - but NOT had the recommended every 3 yrs (x2) full brake fluid replacement and the 6 yrs all flexible brake hoses replaced - extra not included in service costs

Also from the service schedule there is nothing complicated on it - just standard manual checks or maintenance - involves no special diagnostic machines or voodoo black magic

why is it £380 ????
