Best advice is book yourself onto a LR Experience Course where it will all be explained to you. If you bought the Freelander new then you should have received an invitation to a complimentary half day experience.

sorry cocked this reply up - clicked on wrong quote Been on 2 of these at Eastnor in the past (when I had a Disco TD5 ) and done some trialling in my Defender. Yes - my error - Ive looked again at the pictures in the fitting instructions - there is no picture of a laptop or open book at the end of the pictures unlike the fitting instructions for the 2012 FL2 where there was. (there is a load of unnecessary bumper removal though which I guess is related to the OEM tow bar which requires the bumper off - Ive used a Witter towbar which fits without the bumper needing to be removed.) 2014 models don't need to be plugged into the computer to be set up. If all lights work along with the trailer indicator then your vehicle is ok.

Pretty sure TSA does not need activating, it is active all the time, sure I've read it in a brochure. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

According to the link on page 5 below it was planned to be added in late 2008 to FL2.

I believe the LR TSA system does not need to know whether a trailer is attached or not, it is the yaw systems on the car that will detect any unusual event and correct it via selective braking.
