I Know this is treating the simpton and not the cure but that battery may be permanent damaged if it is not holding charge. The other problem i have is short 6 mile trips to station 5 days week so its only the weekend when it gets long trips.

Gets used on the weekend much more. The original battery was changed 2 years ago due to HDC not available etc and just failing to start when needed and haven't had the problem since. I did fit a second earth strap last year and it seems to have helped.

Interesting that i have owned this car from 2007 and its only in the last year that these problems have hit so it is some component wearing out.

Would you believe it fault message has cleared and everything working almost like the battery has picked some charge from a few extra trips just done?
