New Addition To The Family

Afternoon all,

You may remember a few weeks ago I jumped on to one of The Doctors posts regarding the sad loss of his beloved dog and the potential loss of ours. Well fate and mother nature ran its course and unfortunately we lost Ruby a few days later - she was put to sleep as we deemed this the best thing to do.

Gutted, distraught, devastated and all those kind of words didn't and still don't even come close to how we felt.

Well today we took the plunge again and picked up Bailey (that's the name we think we are going for at the moment anyway). We were all in agreement that we would never have another dog after the pain of losing Ruby, all you doggy types will know what I mean, but life in the house just wasn't the same.

Ruby can never be replaced we know that - we don't expect Bailey to have the same character, habits and quirks but although quick, it just felt right to get another. He will have his own personality and charms and be loved in all the ways possible Ruby was.

Anyway, here he is for all to see - few of the first pics of Bailey aged 9 weeks:

You don't see much philosophy on this forum but someone once said that if God existed then He would have made dogs live for a lot longer.

I had to put down my two year old Collie.
I got another two days later.
Best thing I ever did.
Hope it's the same for you Thumbs Up Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

He seems nice. Always hard to pick a name. That's why the three dogs I have had have always been called Susie! They are fondly referred to as Susie 1, Susie 2 and...........just Susie. Laughing

I got Susie 2 within a week of losing Susie 1 and I had them while living with my parents. The current Susie came around 30 years later and only after badgering my wife for 28 years!

Prize goes to Dunkley - Bailey is indeed a Dogue De Bordeaux (French Mastiff aka Turner & Hooch) as was Ruby.

He comes from multi-award winning stock and background and is our second Dogue we have owned. Incredibly loyal, superb guard dogs, great with the kids and forever wanting to please you.

Only downer is that I haven't seen him yet nor will I for a few weeks as I'm away working but when I get back he will have just had his second lot of injections so can go out into the big wide world, well, lets see how he handles Solihull first..... MY2010 TD4 HSE Santorini Black, 19" Alloys, Almond Leather, Lux Pack, Rear Spoiler, Adaptive Xenons

Yeah, that cage wont last long. He's going to be a big boy and should be fully grown in about 15 months. His parents, grandparents and blood relatives are some of these fine specimens:

The kids are saying we need to swap the FL2 for a Disco4 Rolling Eyes MY2010 TD4 HSE Santorini Black, 19" Alloys, Almond Leather, Lux Pack, Rear Spoiler, Adaptive Xenons
